This week the contractors have started to remove sheets of loose plasterwork from various areas around the building.
The plaster which, in many cases, is nearly 140 years old, has become loose through either damp problems or old age.
It'll be all repaired in a historical fashion using lime-based plaster, which will allow the walls to continue breathing.
